There is no change except this. However, to upgrade firmware you must use other than incompatible WesternDigital or Samsung HDDs. This firmware consists of three files, so please make sure you put all three files to tvixfw folder on the root.
** How to upgrade firmware. ** 1. Remove an incompatible HDD from your TVIX. 2. Put an compatible HDD to your TVIX. 3. Copy firmware files(three) to the tvixfw folder on the disk of TVIX after attaching to your PC using USB. If there is no tvixfw folder on the root of disk, please make first. Please check the folder name is tvixfw. 4. Detach your TVIX with safe remove feature of your OS. 5. When the power is off, push the MENU button. While you are pushing the MENU button push the Power button at the same time for 2 seconds. After a few seconds there will be a bluescreen for the F/W. 6. Press Ok to upgrade your firmware when you see the below screen. 7. After two progress bar has been shown and you see the message “Update successfully done! Power off your TVIX player”, turn off your TVIX. 8. Replace your HDD to WesternDigital or Samsung HDD which was not compatible before.

2. Better support of subtitle files.
- Support MicroDVD and TmPlayer subtitle files(.txt)
- Fix the bug that misses some subtitles. However, it may miss subtitles in one sec.
- Fix the bug that does not show correctly when showing two subtitles at the same time. (This is for SMI subtitles. If you want to see more than one subtitle (language), you need to convert your subtitle to SMI format)

5. Better compatibility of MP3 and WAV files.

7. - Set a background music folder: Press 0 key on top of the folder that contains audio files. The first file must be an audio file.
-Set a slideshow folder: Press 0 key on top of the folder that contains picture files. The first file must be a picture file.
- Clear background folders: To clear folders, please press 0 on top of the folder where the first file is other than an audio or a picture file. In this case, even though there is Autojpg/Automp3 folder, the background music or slideshow will not be played.
*If you want to reset background folders to Automp3 or Autojpg, load the factory default settings by press STOP + MENU key on the unit (not on the remote).

- Improved to save up to five bookmarks on five individual files. (It cannot save five bookmarks on a single file.)
- Recognizes AVI, MPG, VOB, CAT, M2P video files only.
- A video file where the folder is setup with a password cannot be saved.
- When replaying the same file, only the last play position will be saved (thus, bookmarked).
- Among the bookmark list, a file deleted from the hard disk will be automatically deleted from the bookmark list as well.

4. Supports lyric files (.lrc)
- If the file name of a music file and .lrc file are the same, the lyrics will be displayed automatically.

1. Supports multiple bookmarks
- Improved to save up to five bookmarks on five individual files. (It cannot save five bookmarks on a single file.)
- Recognizes AVI, MPG, VOB, CAT, M2P video files only.
- A video file where the folder is setup with a password cannot be saved.
- When replaying the same file, only the last play position will be saved (thus, bookmarked).
- Among the bookmark list, a file deleted from the hard disk will be automatically deleted from the bookmark list as well.

4. Supports lyric files (.lrc)
- If the file name of a music file and .lrc file are the same, the lyrics will be displayed automatically.
5. Supports .SUB (bitmap) + .idx subtitle files
- PAL format .SUB subtitles are not supported in this version.
- In cases where the outline cannot be applied clearly to .SUB subtitles, you can change the color of the outline in setup.
6. Supports SMIL type subtitle files.
7. Supports subtitle files when playing .vob, .dat format video files.
- This applies only when there are separate caption files for .vob or.dat.
8. Supports slideshows for not only MP3s but also when playing MP2 and MPA files.
- WMA, WAV, OGG does not support slideshow.
9. The FF/REW and LEFT/RIGHT buttons have been upgraded so users can select their preference.
- This function also with the time setup can be changed with the MISC2 menu item in setup.
- Instead of using setup, you can change the time setup by pressing the up/down arrow buttons which will then display an OSD, such as “+15”.
10. In the case of multi subtitles, it has been improved to display 2 subtitles simultaneously.
- You are able to see the “English + French” subtitles at the same time.
11. Supports ID3 TAG (ID3V1) when playing MP3 files
- Press the INFO button to view ID3 TAG (ID3V1).
- You can see additional information recorded on the MP3 files, such as the artist, album etc.
- OGG also displays basic Tag information.
12. After starting the music slideshow, the displayed list will automatically disappear after 5 seconds.
- If you wish to display the MP3 list again, press the “0” button on the remote control.
13. When playing the slideshow, JPEG images will be displayed if there are JPEG images in the MP3 folder. - If there aren’t any JPEG images, the contents of the autojpg folder will be displayed.
14. The playback progress bar has been added.
15. Supports FF/REW, GOTO functions when playing WMA, WAV files.
