FTP(File transfer Protocol) function has been added. So you can copy files from PC to M41x0/51x0 box via LAN.

Please follow the steps below:

1. Connect the LAN cable and turn the TViX on.

2. Run the FTP client program in your PC. ( We don't have a limitation for FTP program, you may use the freeware/shareware. But we do not recommend FileZilla ftp client because it does not work properly with TViX by unknown reason.)

3. Fill the Address field, the User field and the Password field of your FTP client.



    Address : Press TViX SETUP-Network-IP Setting-DHCP of the TViX M41x0/51x0, and you can see TViX IP (ex: 172.28.1.108)



    User : tvixftp (You cannot change the user name at this moment.)
    Password : Press TViX SETUP-Network of the TViX M41x0/51x0 and you can see FTP password (Ex: 800510) It is case sensitive!!



4. Press the Quickconnect button of the FTP client. (The connect button may different depending on FTP program.)



5. You can see Local PC's directory(Left side) and TViX's directory(Right side)



6. Please check available target directory of  the TViX 5000 in advance.



7. If you try to copy to invalid directory, following error is appeared.



8. You may drag selected file(s) to the TViX HDD area or select the upload menu.
9. Copy operation is progressing.

* TVIX accept only one connection, so please check your FTP client for the option. (We recomend you CoreFTP as a FTP client since it use only one connection by default)
* You can see copied file(s) after finishing the copy on the TViX player.
* You cannot copy(delete, rename) to root disk or tmp disk.
* You cannot delete the source folder (PC's folder) when the file is copied.
* FTP function is available even while playing the video clip, but high bit-rate TP file may be jerky according to circumstance during FTP file transmission.
* Only one user can connect to the TViX M41x0/51x0 FTP server at the same time.
* You can copy files from PC to USB HDD attached to the TViX M41x0/51x0.
* When MS explorer is used as a ftp client, it has file size limitation of 4GB byte.
* If you use the switch hub, you have to enable the FTP port in advance.
* If you use the cross cable, the IP address can be changed. You must adjust the IP address again.   We recommend to use the static IP with cross cable.
